Breaking News!! Lebron James Mother Arrested !!

She was charged with simple battery and disorderly intoxication and then released into the custody of Miami Heat executive Steve Stowe.

According to a Miami Beach police release, police took Gloria James, 43, into custody at 4:47 a.m. Thursday morning at the Fontainebleau Hotel.

According to the police report, a hotel valet had brought a black SUV up into the valet ramp in front of the hotel. He said he saw James outside the hotel talking to other guests but she did not approach the SUV.

He told police he waited 30 minutes for her to retrieve the SUV and when she did not, he shut off the engine, left the SUV on the ramp, and turned the keys over to the valet cashier.

It was few minutes later that James approached the valet, screaming profanities and asking where her car was, according to the police report.

The police report stated the valet tried to explain that he had waited for 30 minutes and that the SUV was still on the valet ramp when the valet told police James slapped him across the right side of the face with her open hand and continued to yell profanities.

The police report shows that witnesses back up the valet's story.

When police arrived, James was already in the passenger seat of the SUV and the female driver was approached by police. Neither cooperated with police and James kept screaming at the driver not to give police her purse or ID, according to the police report.

The police officer reported that James had bloodshot eyes and there was strong odor of alcohol about her.

She was arrested and charged with simple battery and disorderly intoxication.

Gloria James was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in January, 2006 in Akron, when LeBron James was still a Cleveland Cavalier.

At that time, she pleaded to having control of a car while drunk. She also pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly conduct, reckless operation and speeding, and had a charge of molesting police property dismissed.

James was sentenced to participate in a three-day driver intervention program, 100 hours of community service, to pay $486 in fines and another $150 to replace a window she kicked out of a police cruiser.

She also lost her license for a year for her refusal to take a breath test.
